About Darshan Tailor

Darshan has joined Aerotech Processing Solutions as an NDT Inspector and, through his technical expertise and leadership, advanced to NDT Level III and Operations Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering and has more than nine years of experience in the aerospace metal finishing industry, with a strong background in NDT, operations management, and business improvement.

He is a responsible for the company’s liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) department, ensuring all inspected components meet customer specifications and the highest industry quality standards. His experience includes inspecting aerospace, defense, and marine components; developing and organizing the NDT department; overseeing NDT training and qualification programs; preparing for and leading Nadcap audits; conducting internal audits; and mentoring and evaluating Level I and Level II inspectors. He has also participated in technical conference calls with Boeing and Airbus, providing expertise on LPI rejection criteria to find root causes.

In his role as Operations Manager, Darshan oversees production, scheduling, inventory control, maintenance, and shipping & receiving operations. He has successfully reorganized department layouts to improve workflow and increase productivity while fostering collaboration across teams. His leadership is focused on improving operational efficiency, reducing waste, developing employees, and ensuring the consistent delivery of products on time. He is also a certified forklift trainer and is responsible for training and qualifying new forklift operators within the organization. During this role he has also developed maintenance, inventory log along with re-writing OSHA, RCRA, and FIRE procedures.

In addition to his operational responsibilities, Darshan led the redesign of the company’s quotation process by developing a more comprehensive structure that accurately captured production costs. This initiative improved quotation accuracy & strengthened pricing competitiveness.
